Jewelry Making II: Advanced Techniques
Take your jewelry-making skills to the next level in our Jewelry II Course. This skill-based course focuses on hands-on learning, allowing you to apply new techniques to your own designs. Students will explore helpful techniques in sawing and forming, further their soldering abilities and begin the process of hand-fabricating settings for faceted stones. The curriculum for the course is as follows:
Day 1: Intro to Flex Shaft & Advanced Sawing, Forming and Soldering Techniques
Day 2: Continuing Soldering Techniques & Intro to Prong Settings
Day 3: Intro to Tube and Flush Settings
Day 4: Refining Techniques
To be eligible to sign up, students must have completed our Intro to Jewelry Making Course OR have proficient understanding and application of ring making and soldering techniques, using a jeweler’s saw and hand files, and have experience working with brass copper and sterling silver materials.
Class Includes:
Brass and copper materials
Sterling silver tube and 12 gauge sterling strip (for practicing tube and flush settings)
Variety of 3-8mm CZ
Use of all tools and equipment needing throughout the course
Unlimited independent studio time throughout the duration of the course
Lists of recommended tools and equipment to further learning
While all necessary materials and tools are included in the course fee, students are encouraged to bring their own materials and any tools they may have!
Please note that students are required to attend all four classes. If a class is missed, a make-up lesson may be possible, but students will be responsible for the private lesson rate of $60/hour for any make-up lessons.

Jewelry classes are limited to 8 people.
Class sales are final, but we will work with you to exchange a different class or use your funds for in-store credit if desired.
