CLASS FAQs

Which class is right for me?

If you want to learn to solder and work with sterling silver, start with the Stacking Ring or Stone Setting Workshop. You'll make a ring from start to finish and get a feel for sawing, texturing, forming and soldering.

If you want to get comfortable with a torch, try the Forged Cuff Workshop. You'll anneal brass to soften it, then hammer it into shape on an anvil.

If you love detail and want to design your own piece, the Earring Making Workshop is for you. It focuses on sawing and texturing, and I'll help you bring your design to life.

Still can't decide? The Intro to Jewelry Making Course covers the skills from each workshop over 12 hours, and you'll set your own stone too. If you've already taken Intro, Jewelry II and Jewelry III are your next steps.

Do I need any experience?

No. Every one day workshop and the Intro course are built for beginners. If you've made jewelry before, I'll help you take on a more challenging piece.

What's included?

The studio, every tool you need, and the materials for your piece. If you'd like to use sterling silver instead of brass, or a different stone, email me and we'll work out the cost of the materials.

What should I wear?

Closed toe shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. I provide aprons and safety glasses. Bring readers if you use them.

How many people are in a class?

Each class is limited to 8 people.

Is there an age requirement?

You must be at least 14. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian needs to be in class with you.

Where are classes held?

All Laurel & Co. classes are held at Fleur, 13 E 4th Ave, Denver, CO 80203, in the Baker neighborhood.

Where should I park?

Street parking is your best bet. There are meters right in front of Fleur and along 4th, Broadway and Lincoln. Check the meters and signs for restrictions.

What if I can't make my class?

Class sales are final, but life happens. Email me before your class and I'll help you move to another date or use your payment as studio credit. If I cancel a class, you'll get a full refund.

Can I book a private class for a group?

Yes! I love teaching groups of friends and family. Fill out the private workshop form and we'll plan it from there.

Can I make our wedding bands with you?

Yes. In a private Commitment Band Workshop, you'll make your bands together from start to finish. Learn more and get in touch.

Can I give a class as a gift?

Yes. Jewelry classes book through Laurel & Co., so they need a Laurel & Co. gift card. For any other class at Fleur, use a Fleur gift card.

Order FAQs

How long will my order take to ship?

Please allow 1 to 2 weeks. Some pieces are ready to ship, and others, like the Essential Collection, are made to order. I'll get yours out as soon as I can.

Can I pick up my order locally?

Yes. If you're in Colorado, choose Store Pickup at checkout. I'll email you within 1 to 2 weeks to set up a time to pick it up at Fleur.

Can I try on pieces before I buy?

Yes! Most of my pieces are at Fleur, 13 E 4th Ave in Denver. The shop is open Fridays and Saturdays, 10am to 6pm. You're also welcome to shop before or after one of your classes.

Do you resize rings?

Not at this time, so please double check your ring size before you order. Rings and bracelets aren't adjustable unless the product page says so.

Can I return or exchange my piece?

Because I'm a small shop, all sales are final. If your piece arrives damaged, contact me within 5 days of delivery and include a photo.

What if I lose part of a piece?

I'm not able to replace a single earring or other lost component. A new order is needed.
