stone Setting Workshop

In this four hour workshop, we will cover the basics of soldering and the steps to hand fabricate a bezel stone setting in sterling silver. Each participant will be working with a cabochon to create a stone setting, which can then be finished as a pendant, cuff, ring, bolo tie - you can be as creative as you like!

Class Includes:

  • your chosen stone (different stones are listed regularly - just pick the number of stone you want to work with! Each stone is one of a kind)

  • sterling silver sheet and bezel wire

  • various sterling silver ring band / bale wires (for ring or pendant options)

  • brass wire (for cuff or hair pin options)

  • infographic on bezel settings

Play with melting silver! In this workshop, we will be melting silver scrap to make three silver spheres that will then go on ear posts and a textured ring band. Get a taste of ring making, soldering, and texturing metal and walk out wearing your new earring and ring set.

This workshop includes all materials and tools necessary for fabricating your pieces. Class is limited to 8 people. No prior jewelry making knowledge necessary.

 

Stacking Ring Workshop

Learn to make your own sterling silver stacking ring! In this two hour workshop, we will learn how to cut, form, heat, solder, and texture metal - all in the process of making a simple, but elegant sterling silver stacking ring.

This workshop includes all materials and tools necessary for fabricating your stacking ring. Class is limited to 9 people. No prior jewelry making knowledge necessary.

 

Brass Cuff Workshop

Learn the basics of forming and texturing metal, all in the process of creating a forged brass cuff. In this workshop, you will learn how to use a butane torch to soften your metal in order for it to be formed and textured. Walk out wearing what you make in this two hour workshop!

This workshop includes all materials and tools necessary for fabricating your brass cuff. Class is limited to 9 people. No prior jewelry making knowledge necessary.

 

Earring Making Workshop

Get creative in this workshop and design your own pair of brass earrings! In this three hour workshop, you will learn how to saw, texture and form metal, all while creating your own pair of brass earrings. We will explore the process of heating and softening metal, and play with oxidizing and finishing techniques to add color and dimension to your design.

This workshop includes all materials and tools necessary for fabricating your earrings. Class is limited to 9 people. No prior jewelry making knowledge necessary.

 

Wedding Band Workshop

Intro to Jewelry Making Course

This intensive course includes 12 class hours of jewelry making, covered over either 2 or 4 days. Each student will learn the basics to jewelry making through various projects. You will dive into a hands-on classroom where you will design and fabricate jewelry in a supportive and creative atmosphere. Students will become familiar with all of the essential techniques, including sawing, heating and forming metal, soldering, ring making, bezel stone setting, polishing and finishing each piece. You’ll have the opportunity to making several pieces and learn new skills along the way.

This course includes all materials and tools necessary for projects executed in the class. Class is limited to 8 people. No prior jewelry making knowledge necessary.

 

CONTINUING JEWELRY MAKING // PROJECT-BASED COURSE FOR BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE METALSMITHS

Our ‘Continuing Jewelry Making’ Course is designed for those wanting to continue to expand their knowledge in the jewelry studio. This course is project-based, meaning students will come in with their own designs and goals and the curriculum will tailor itself to the needs of the students. We believe this approach will provide the space for independence and creativity to flourish, all while exploring your personal aesthetic in your jewelry making journey.

 

Private One-on-One Jewelry Making Lessons

In this course, you will work with me one-on-one to curate a jewelry making/metalsmithing class to fit your needs. Each class slot will be 2 hours long and can be as detailed or as basic as you want!

This option is perfect for someone with some knowledge of working with metal, but needs a refresher course, or wants to learn more advanced techniques.

By signing up for this course, we will start with a 15 minute consultation to create a course of action and schedule your private lesson/s.
